Visit River Hawk Ranch

A yellow wooden native bee hive mounted on a tree trunk overlooking the Simpson Creek, Brusnwick Heads, surrounded by lush green trees with sunlight filtering through the leaves.

River Hawk Ranch is a working Bee Sanctuary and a place we love to share.

The Private Tour

A 2 hour journey into our work with the bees and a different way of being in relationship with nature.

Walk with us through the sanctuary as we share the philosophy behind River Hawk Bee Sanctuary and the practices that guide our work:

Reciprocity. Reverence.

Along the way, you’ll meet some of Australia’s extraordinary native stingless bees, learn about our approach to bee-centred beekeeping, visit honey bees and wild hive sites and discover what the bees are teaching us about resilience, adaptation and living in relationship with the natural world.

There are moments to observe, taste and participate along the way, including the opportunity to taste rare native bee honey and experience our practise of asking permission before coming close to pr taking from a hive.

We finish by the Honey House sharing our delicious, pollen-rich, nutrient dense honey and honeycomb alongside a selection of cheeses and our very own Hawthorn Estate sparkling wine.

From time to time, we welcome guests to River Hawk for a private guided experience of the land and bees.
